Upper Peninsula – One of the best ski resorts for glade skiing is growing its network.
This week, Mount Bohemia announced that they’re working on adding four new glades next winter. These glades will start at the Mordor trail and then go 90 degrees east into a valley. This area will be known as the Far East. The run lengths and snow quality will be similar to the glades over at Middle Earth. With them being the furthest trails to the east, they’ll maintain fresh powder longer and thus have great snow conditions.
Mount Bohemia is working on various projects this summer. It’s in the second year of its three-year chairlift replacement project, as a Skytrac triple chairlift is replacing its old double chairlift. In addition, the Nordic Spa is expanding, with plans to add a cold rain mist room, an exfoliation room with three showers, and a crystal steam room.
