Seattle, Washington — This upcoming winter, Alaska Airlines is making it easier for people from various cities to reach popular skiing destinations.
Yesterday, Alaska Airlines announced its new route schedule for the winter of 2024-25. The major news from the announcement is the addition of flights to Vail (Eagle County Regional Airport). Alaska Airlines will now offer flights 3x a week from San Diego and Seattle to Vail from December 20, 2024, to March 16th, 2025. This gives passengers quick access to Beaver Creek and Vail Ski Resort.

In addition, more routes have been added to other popular ski destinations. A daily San Diego-Reno route has been added for those wanting to shred at Tahoe’s many ski resorts. A daily Los Angeles-Kelowna route has been added for Californians who want to ski at Big White, Crystal Mountain, or Silverstar. A Boise-Bozeman trip has been added for those who want to visit Big Sky or Bridger Bowl in the winter or check out Bogus Basin in Idaho.
Kirsten Amrine, who’s vice president of network planning and revenue management for Alaska Airlines, described their excitement about adding these routes to their 2024-25 lineup:
“We’re thrilled to offer convenient connection for guests across our network with this expansion—whether checking destinations off their bucket lists or setting off to their favorite winter getaways, we’ve put together an exciting range of options from tropical destinations across Mexico to the most popular ski slopes in North America.”
Tickets for these routes are on sale now.
