New Rules Announced For Breck’s Peak 10 Fourth Of July Ski Party

Breckenridge, Colorado — If you’re looking to ski on the Fourth of July, one place to consider is Breckenridge. The Peak 10 Classic, which started back in 2018, brings skiers up to the famous Breck peak to ski the remaining snowpack.

This year, some modifications have been made to the plans. Due to it now operating under a non-commercial special use permit from the U.S. Forest Service, camping and parking are no longer permitted in Breckenridge Resort’s permit zone. Typically, people have driven up and parked below the snow patches. Now, guests can park at Beaver Run parking lot, where Summit Express will offer shuttles to The Overlook. From The Overlook on Peak 9, the hike is 2 miles long with an elevation gain of 1200 feet. Bicyclists can park their bikes at The Overlook.

Following the event, they’ll have an afterparty at Broken Compass Brewing starting at 4 p.m. They’ll be hosting some giveaways and selling t-shirts to commemorate the festivities.

They’re also accepting donations, with proceeds going towards SOS Outreach.

If you plan on going, please sign this waiver.
